Charmel McClure-Sternick is a member of The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and was born and raised on the Flathead Indian Reservation. She earned a B.A. in Public Policy and Management and a Minor in American Indian Studies from California State University Northridge. An internship with the Tribal Law and Policy Institute led to a more than decade long contact with the organization as Travel Coordinator for the National Indian Nations Conference. The experience gained by working with tribes nationwide translated well to her current position with The United Native American Housing Association as Membership Relationship Manager helping create a united front for Tribally Designated Housing Entities in the Northern Plains Region. A casual hobby of shopping for property with her husband turned into a career as a Licensed Montana Real Estate Agent specializing in tribal lease and trust transfers. She was recently appointed to S&K Business Services, Inc. and Sovereign Leasing and Financing Board of Directors. Charmel’s professional goal is to continue offering support to tribal businesses and encourage homeownership through real estate advocacy.
Shawn Sternick was introduced to Montana in 2001 by his wife, a Montana native, and was inspired by the beautiful landscape, quality of life and strong values of the people.
